Explore the educational potential of Second Life, a multi-user environment that has over 11 million residents and has been used as a teaching tool by Harvard University, San Diego State, and right here at The Ohio State University.
As this hands-on workshop is intended for those with little to no experience in Second Life (www.secondlife.com), we will offer an introduction to the program, a chance for participants to practice with their first avatar, and a discussion of the positive and negative aspects of teaching with this exciting new tool.
This workshop will be taught exclusively on Macintosh computers.
All participants must bring their valid OSUWireless logon and password to logon to Second Life. Please be sure you have this set up prior to the workshop. For more information on OSUWireless: http://wireless.osu.edu
