Jack Nasar first came to the Digital Union when he participated in the 2005 Research on Research program. A student in interior, industrial, and visual design researched the art and practice of wayfinding under Nasar’s tutelage. The resulting digital portfolio showcased the stylish confluence of psychology, architecture, planning, and literature.
Nasar has returned to the Digital Union to participate in a faculty learning community focused on integrating technology into research and teaching, made possible by a grant from The Ohio Learning Network. He also received a 2006-2007 National Endowment for the Arts grant with Jennifer Evans-Cowley and Scott Lissner for Universal Design Leadership Project: Inclusive Environments for Inclusive Communities, which had a distance participation component.
Continuing his pioneering status, Nasar has been one of the first faculty members on the OSU campus to integrate Second Life into his teaching using space on TELRport, TELR's island in Second Life.
