Scott DeWitt has been on the faculty at OSU since 1992. He spent the first ten years of his career on the Marion Campus. In 2002, he moved to the Columbus Campus to direct the Digital Media Project in the Department of English. In 2007, he became the director of OSU's First-Year Writing Program where he is blending his work in digital media studies with the curriculum of English 110.
His collaborations with the Digital Union include the BETHA Institute for New Media and Writing Studies, Research on Research (2004), the Digital Media and Composition (DMAC) Institute, and Commonplace.
In 2008, Dewitt continued to experiment with technology in the classroom by evaluating the use of a SMART Board as part of the Digital Union’s SMART SEED program.
